Colorado Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) program
FAMLI will start providing benefits to employees beginning January 1, 2024. Most eligible employees will receive up to twelve weeks of leave. Those who experience pregnancy or childbirth complications may receive an additional four weeks.
FAMLI Premiums must be paid no later than the last day of the month immediately following the end of the calendar quarter for which the premiums have accrued. While the first payment is due April 30, 2023, the Division is offering a 30-day grace period before the first payment is considered late in order to give employers plenty of time to get comfortable using the system.
