The May 19th meeting of the Colorado Staffing Association will focus on both federal and state legislative issues threatening the staffing industry.
  • What pending state and federal laws are impacting the staffing business?
  • What is the status of the Affordable Care Act? Will the Supreme Court strike down key provisions of the law?
  • How do staffing laws passed in other states affect us in Colorado?
  • What is going on at the Colorado state house this year?
  • What is OSHA’s Temporary Worker Initiative? How do you stay compliant?

Our speaker is Toby Malara, Esq., Government Affairs Counsel for ASA. Toby advises on all staffing-related legislation and regulation, including the Affordable Care Act, immigration/I-9, paid sick leave, sales tax and per diem issues. He also directs the association’s political activities through its political action committee, Staffing PAC.
